What is the American Civil Liberties Union?

Have you ever heard of the ACLU? Do you know what it does? Until recently I had no idea of the important job the American Civil Liberties Union does for EVERYONE in this country.

“For almost 100 years, the ACLU has worked to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States”, your rights and mine. But it is our responsibility to become involve, learn and share in order to continue advocating for our rights and those of future generations.

I became a member of the ACLU and I do not possess any legal background; I am just an individual who wishes to learn more of my rights and how we can, as a community, become better advocates for each others.

Do not wait to have a need to then seek the services of others, get involve, become engage and learn more of what your local chapter is doing in your community. Visit: www.aclu.org
